In 1975, in the year of Isadora James's passing, on September 5th, Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme tried to assassinate President Ford in Sacramento, California. The next day, the blacklist was created and they were fired. Ten Hollywood writers and directors had refused to testify to the Committee regarding "Communists" or "Reds" in the movie industry. In 1947, Isadora was 57 years old when on November 25th, the Hollywood "Black List" was created by the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC). While his disappearance was front page news, his fate was never discovered and after 40 years the case was closed, still without knowing if Crater was dead or alive. His wife didn't know what happened, his fellow Justices had no idea, and his mistresses (he had several) said that they didn't know. His disappearance was reported to the police on September 3rd - almost a month later. Supreme Court Judge Joseph Crater went through papers in his office, destroyed some of them, withdrew all his money from the bank - $5,150, sold his stock, met friends at a restaurant for dinner and disappeared after getting into a taxi (or walking down the street - his friends' testimony later changed). In 1930, at the age of 40 years old, Isadora was alive when on August 6th, N.Y. Stanley Finch was the first Chief (now called Director). In 1908, at the age of 18 years old, Isadora was alive when the Federal Bureau of Investigation was established as the domestic intelligence and security service of the United States it simultaneously served as the nation's prime federal law enforcement agency. Hollerith's company eventually became IBM. Herman Hollerith's "tabulating machine" used punch cards to more quickly compute census information, taking the time to get census results from 8 years in 1880 to 6 years for the 1890 census. Census Bureau started tabulating census returns with punch cards.
